I just wanted to say a big thank you to you for having such a
brilliant
website and also for putting my church at the top of your list; thank
you.
The very day that you put it on, it was seen by the Scottish Sunday
express, who phoned me up for an interview the very next day! As
requested, I sent them my photographs and further information.
That Sunday, there was a half page editorial about converted churches
in Scotland, there was a brilliant section on my church and the only
three pictures they'd printed were of my church as well. If that
wasn't enough, BBC Birmingham phoned me up and are going to use my
photos and info in a slot in one of their programmes in about three
months, called 'To Buy or Not to Buy'! Thanks again John.
Wendy.
Today a French TV company was filming us for a programme on unusual
houses in the UK... they were telling
us about other converted churches they found on your site.
Angela
For your interest we have been featured on SW television. Local papers
and the Daily Telegraph as a result of being
on your site and have had over 100 enquiries.

Central London
This tower, built in 1704, is
on sale for ₤ 4.5 million. Of course, the works were done there to make
it comfortable and now it is fully habitable. Its size can be compared
with a 10-story building, but there are only two floors. The
accommodation comprises three bedrooms, lounge and kitchen.
No, I wouldn't buy it either,
but this is the Unique Property site.
And the latest
members' bulletin contains an ex-police station for conversion. It's
not often you can put your mother-in-law in the cells when she comes to
stay.....

Vanilla Plantation, Vava'u
Island
Group,
Tonga
About 3 acres have been
planted here, ready to harvest. The process continues as the owner
tends to the sale of the crop while offering the plantation. The price
of the plantation would only include the crop if one bought before the
harvest. Plenty of room to expand the crop and the business. Next year,
more vanilla and every year thereafter.

La Torre di Todi, Umbria, Italy
An ancient stone watchtower
built nestling in around 1.5 hectares of land with the surrounding
hills full of oak and olives. The complex is set amidst verdant
vegetation but not isolated and the hills are speckled here and there
with inhabited farmhouses.
The property includes a 244 m2 farmhouse with tower in need of
restoration and around 153 m2 outbuildings to knock down and build a
second home on the site. The existing project provides for a new layout
of the main buildings and the ground floor would include an entrance
hall, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom, a stairway would
give access to the first floor tower for the sleeping quarters with two
bedrooms and two private bathrooms.
The main body of the tower is in excellent structural condition but
restoration works are required to remove the annexes. The interior
space needs to redefined, fitted with new a plant design, and decorous
finishes. The original elements of the splendid tower remain intact:
the mighty stone walls, the ceilings with wooden beams, the handmade
cotto floors, the wooden roof truss, and the stone fireplaces.
|

The property is inside
about 1.5
hectares of private land, a large part plented with olive trees
(this land produces some of the best olive oil in Italy).
Situated 10 km
from the town of Todi, 15 km by car to the E45 highway, Rome is 158 km
and Florence 191 km away.
The surrounding hills are full of oak
and holm oak forests and the cultivated fields range from vineyards to
olive groves.
